Effectiveness of Using Low Rates of Plant Nutrients (09/24/20)

A very revised edition of ‘Effectiveness of Using Low Rates of Plant Nutrients’ is now available

A very revised edition of ‘Effectiveness of Using Low Rates of Plant Nutrients’ is now available at:

https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/publications/crops/effectiveness-of-using-low-rates-of-plant-nutrients/sf1978.pdf

This publication synthesizes recent and past research in the North Central Region of which we are a part in using low rates of foliar fertilizers and seed- or near-seed-placed fertilizers at low rates or low analysis. It also includes a more comprehensive table of elemental uptake by our common crops; although as the table indicates, there is considerable variation in uptake within a crop species. This information should be useful for grower and ag-professionals as they plan for spring nutrient management.
