Fusarium Head Blight (Scab) Risk

A moderate scab risk exists for areas along the northern half of the Red River Valley (Figure 1). Significant rain events in the past seven days along with higher relative humidity have increased risk for Fusarium spore release and subsequent infection events. A moderate scab risk will likely remain in these areas as relative humidity values are projected to be higher and the opportunity for morning dews have increased.
