Fusarium Head Blight Risk Remains Elevated

Scab risk for susceptibility varieties remains moderate to high for several areas in North Dakota (Figures 1 and 2). For moderately susceptible varieties, a few pockets of moderate risk exist in the state. (Figures 3 and 4). Rain covered much of the state last week and more rain is projected for this week. This precipitation coupled with high humidity will maintain or increase scab risk. Continue to monitor growth stages, especially later planted small grains that may be heading and/or flowering this week.
