Scholarships

Scholarships are often available for students enrolled in the undergraduate cooperatives course at NDSU.

2014-2015 CHS University Scholarship

The NDSU College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources (CAFSNR) is now accepting applications for the CHS University Scholarship. The CHS University Scholarship program provides financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled in agriculture at select universities nationwide. The program encourages students to pursue careers in production agriculture and agriculture business, while building awareness of cooperative-based business.

Amount:
CHS Foundation will offer eight $2,000 scholarships

Eligibility:
It is understood that recipients of this scholarship will meet the following criteria:

  • Be classified as a student in the CAFSNR according to the NDSU Office of Registration and Records, and sustain enrollment in the College through the one-year scholarship period (August 2014-May 2015)
  • Be a sophomore, junior, or senior during the semester following application
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

It is further understood that:

  • Recipients shall not be selected based on financial need
  • Recipients are able to receive the award multiple times
  • First preference will be given to students demonstrating an interest in agricultural-based cooperatives
    • Completed a cooperatives course or course covering cooperative business structure
    • Internship or aspiration to work in an agricultural-based cooperative
  • Recipient demonstrates academic ability through his or her course of study
  • Recipient exhibits leadership qualities through the university, community and/or industry

Selection of Choice:
Final selection of the recipients of the scholarship shall be made by the CAFSNR Scholarship Committee.

Deadline:
Applications should be submitted to the CAFSNR Dean's Office (Morrill Hall, Room 315) by Friday, February 28, 2014.
