The conference will begin midday on Monday and conclude by noon on Thursday.

Submit Your Proposal

The planning committee is accepting program proposals through Friday, Aug. 3.

The schedule offers sessions in three different formats:

Lightning Talk

Suggested purpose: highlight accomplishments or unique programs, share an interesting story or artifact from your work, showcase a project or initiative in your area
Lighting talks will be scheduled in 15-minute blocks with 5 minutes allotted for the presentation, 5-8 minutes for facilitated Q&A or discussion, and any remaining time for transition between talks.

Bully Pulpit

a conspicuous position that provides an opportunity to speak out and be listened to; coined by U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt to describe a platform from which to advocate an agenda (Wikipedia)

Suggested purpose: cover multidisciplinary topics (think beyond program area content), share current and potential innovative programs and initiatives, provide an overview of research and its applications, review a book or concept that has impacted the way you work
Time: Bully Pulpit talks will be structured similarly to TED talks. Each talk will have a 30-minute block of time. The presentation should be about 18 minutes. Following the presentation will be 10 minutes of facilitated Q&A or discussion, and any remaining time will be used for transition.

Breakout Session

Suggested purpose: cover a topic in greater depth
Time: Breakout sessions will be 60 minutes, of which 40-45 will be allotted for the presentation and 15-20 for Q&A and discussion.
