Are You Overindulging Your Children?

If you are opening large credit card bills, tripping over piles of toys, making reservations for hotel rooms in places you really were not expecting to visit with the traveling team, or trying to find time to go see grandma, you may want to look up the word “overindulge.”

Three resources are available to work through issues of the “I wants” at your house. A book; “How Much is Too Much, Raising Likeable, Responsible, Respectful Children - From Toddlers to Teens - in an Age of Overindulgence” and free one-hour online class; “Parenting in the Age of Overindulgence” through University of Minnesota Extension and an in-person class through the NDSU Extension Service called “Overdone, Practicing Wellness in Busy Families”. Contact your county office of the NDSU Extension Service to learn more.
