New Staff Member in the NDSU Extension Center for Community Vitality

Andrea Bowman has joined the NDSU Extension Service once again on a part-time basis with the Center for Community Vitality beginning January 3, 2017. Andrea previously served as an NDSU Extension Agent in Bowman County. While there she was very involved with community and leadership development programs including coordinating an annual women’s leadership program, participating in the 18 month Rural Leadership North Dakota program, facilitating the delivery of the Rural Leadership Short Course in Bowman along with many other activities to help her county develop leaders.

Andrea’s responsibilities will now be to provide leadership and civic engagement programs along with facilitation assistance to counties and communities in western North Dakota.  She specifically will be responsible for delivering or assisting with the Growing Leaders Short Course, Lead Local, Youth Lead Local, and the ND Watershed Leadership Academy.  The Center for Community Vitality received a grant to support the work that Andrea will be doing on a part-time basis for close to two years so we see it as a great opportunity to bring some added support for these programs in our state.

Andrea’s e-mail is  (andrea.bowman@ndsu.edu) and her phone number is 701-523-6239.
