Parenting Resource Center

Welcome to the NDSU Region V Parenting Resource Center. We provide educational programs, newsletters, a lending library and educational literature to help families succeed.

The North Dakota State University Extension Parenting Resource Center works in various settings and with agencies to serve children and families in Cass, Traill, Richland, Sargent, Ransom and Steele counties.

The Parenting Resource Center provides prevention focused parenting and family education programs to parents, professionals and the community at large in this six county area.

Nurtured Heart Approach to Parent Education:

Parents and professionals report increasingly difficult and challenging child behaviors. They are looking for information to improve their skills in addressing intense child behaviors that will result in improved behaviors at home, in school and in public. Nearly 1,000 parents and professionals from Region V have attended Cass County Extension sponsored Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) classes since 2010. NHA classes meet once a week for 5 weeks and are regularly scheduled. Check this website for classes currently offered.
