Cass County 4-H Teen Leadership Program

TeenLeaderTeens as Leaders

A personal leadership and professional development opportunity for 4-H youth in grades 7th through 12th. The Teens as Leaders program serves as a chance for older 4-H youth to build their knowledge, grow themselves as leaders in their clubs and the county, and develop their personal and professional skills while having fun with their 4-H peers.


Youth Must

  • Be actively enrolled in North Dakota 4-H
  • Be between grades 7th and 12th
  • Have an interest in getting more involved in 4-H
  • Want to build themselves as leaders in their community


Youth Will

  • Attend four to six meetings throughout the 4-H year
  • Collaborate with other 4-H’ers on team building activities
  • Learn about personal leadership and professional development
  • Discover opportunities offered in the North Dakota 4-H program
  • Learn about teaching methods and project areas in 4-H
  • Receive Teen Leader T-shirts and name tags to stand out at county events
  • Volunteer at one county contest or event
  • Lead, or co-lead a project activity for other 4-H members
  • Receive wristband passes to the Red River Valley Fair with meeting attendance
  • Have fun with a group of social peers

2020 Meeting Calendar

Youth must attend four of the six meetings

  • February 18, 2020 at 6:30 pm - Kick-off and information meeting
  • March 17, 2020 at 7:00 pm
  • May 19, 2020 at 7:00 pm
  • June 16, 2020 at 7:00 pm
  • July Fair meeting – Date to be determined, during the Red River Valley Fair
  • August 18, 2020 at 7:00 pm – End of year party
