Individual Member Awards
General Award Guidelines
- The award you apply for needs to be recorded in the back section of the Cass County Record Book.
- Youth may apply for and receive one (1) major award per year. (Does not include Graduating 4-H Member Award).
- Youth cannot receive the same award twice. (If you were unable to go on the award trip, you can apply again for that award).
- All criteria must be met within the current 4-H year.
- The following award requirements must be completed and given to organizational leaders on or before August 31.
- All changes to the Awards Application and Minimum Requirements must be approved by the 4-H Executive Board.
- Important: Choose one (1) award that you want to apply for. All criteria within that award must also be completed in order to receive the award. Member and parent signatures must appear on the cover.

Rookie Award
- At least 8 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Able to recite the 4-H Pledge.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 1 county event. (Section C)
- Participated in 1 CLUB community service project. (Section D)
- Completed 1 enrolled project with record
Young Achievers Award
- At least 9 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 1 county event. (Section C)
- Participated in 1 CLUB community service project. (Section D)
- Completed 2 enrolled projects with records.
Clover Achievement Award
- At least 10 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 2 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 1 CLUB community service project. (Section D)
- Completed 2 enrolled projects with records.
North Dakota Camp Award
Six $60 awards are awarded per year.
- At least 10 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 2 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 2 community service projects - to include at least ONE club project. (Section D)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
Junior Awards Trip
A group day trip to the Detroit Lakes area is awarded.
- At least 11 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 2 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 2 community service projects - to include at least ONE club service project. (Section D)
- Completed 1 leadership activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
Purple Ribbon Achievement Award
- At least 12 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 3 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 2 community service projects - to include at least ONE club project. (Section D)
- Completed 2 leadership activities. (Section E)

State 4-H Youth Conference at NDSU
Ten EYC trips are awarded each year.
- At least 13 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 3 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club project. (Section D)

Senior Awards Trip
A group two day trip to Duluth is awarded.
- At least 13 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 3 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club project. (Section D)
- Completed 3 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
Award of Excellence
- At least 14 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 3 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club service project. (Section D)
- Completed 3 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)

Sweatshirt Award
- At least 15 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 3 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club service project. (Section D)
- Completed 3 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records. (Section F)
Leadership Award
Two $50 awards are given. Applicant must meet following criteria plus complete a separate application which can be obtained from the 4-H office or found below. An interview will be part of the selection process. Members need to identify a 2nd & 3rd choice award in case they are not chosen for this award.
- At least 15 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 4 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club project. (Section D)
- Completed 4 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
- Gave a speech, demo or taught a workshop beyond club level.
- Completed special application and turned into 4-H leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.

Citizenship Washington Focus
Two award trips are given. Applicant must meet following criteria plus complete a separate application which can be obtained from 4-H office or found below. An interview will be part of the selection process. Members need to identify a 2nd & 3rd award choice in case they are not selected for this award.
- At least 15 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 4 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club project. (Section D)
- Completed 4 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
- Gave a speech, demo or taught a workshop beyond club level.
- Completed special application and turned into 4-H leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.

4-H Letterman Award
- At least 16 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)

- Participated in 4 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club service project. (Section D)
- Completed 4 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
Platinum Achievement Award
- At least 17 years old by September 1 of current year.
- Completed and turned in 4-H Record Book & Project Records to leader by August deadline of current 4-H year.
- Attended a minimum of 6 club meetings. (Section B)
- Gave talk, speech or demo at club meeting. (Section B)
- Participated in 4 different categories of county events. (Section C)
- Participated in 3 community service projects - to include at least ONE club service project. (Section D)
- Completed 4 leadership activities - to include at least ONE county activity. (Section E)
- Completed 3 enrolled projects with records.
Above & Beyond Scholarship
A $100 Scholarship & Certificate are awarded. Applicant must meet following criteria plus complete a separate application which can be obtained from 4-H office or found below. Members need to identify a 2nd & 3rd award choice in case they are not selected for this award.
- Completed senior year in high school or college student.
- Completed 6 years of club work.
- Completed and turned in special application by August deadline of current 4-H year.

Graduating 4-H Member
A plaque is awarded. A Separate application must be obtained from 4-H office or found below. Applicants may also apply for another award along with the graduating member award.
- 17 years of age and up.
- High School graduate.
- Completed 6 years of club work
