Tyler grew up on a farm and ranch and attended Killdeer high school. Growing up, he was active showing cattle and livestock judging through 4H and FFA. He went to Casper College in Wyoming and received his Associate’s degree and later moved on to Oregon State University to obtain a B.S. in Agriculture. His previous job experience out of college includes selling feed as a territory representative for Loomix and running a semen sales business while working as a herdsman in Oregon for a Registered Angus breeder. He joined Burleigh County Extension in October of 2013 where he spent a year before working for the ND Department of Agriculture as the Pesticide Enforcement Supervisor until 2018. He has spent the last year rough necking in the oilfield but is very excited to return back to his old position at Burleigh County.
