Shaundra Ziemann-Bolinske

Family & Community Wellness Agent

Shaundra Ziemann-Bolinske is originally from Hazen, ND, she enjoyed 4-H in Mercer County as a school-aged youth until her family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where she graduated high school.  Before completing college, she enlisted in the US Army Reserves and became a Nutrition Care Specialist.   After attending Bismarck State College, upon her return from Army basic training, she transferred to the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.   Out of college, she first worked as a food science technician with the Research and Development team at General Mills, Inc. developing new and innovative frozen food products. 

Shaundra took commission in the Army Reserve in 2007 as a Health Services Administrative Officer in the Medical Service Corps.  She currently serves as a Captain in the 7410 Troop Medical Command out of Fargo.  She earned a Bronze Star Medal and a Combat Medic Badge while serving as the Executive Officer of a Forward Surgical Team deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-10 Campaign.  Shaundra chose to return to North Dakota to be near her family upon redeploying.  She furthered her food science and food safety background with Cloverdale Foods Co. where she transitioned into the Director of Technical Services position leading the food safety and quality control effort.  She now serves Burleigh County as the Family and Community Wellness Agent with NDSU Extension.
