Deb Johnson

Nutrition Education Assistant, EFNEP & FNP

Debra Johnson was born and raised in Grafton, ND.  Upon high school graduation Deb furthered her education by obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Home Economics Education with minors in General Foods & Nutrition and Child Development/Family Relations from North Dakota State University (Go Bison!)  During the first three years of her career, Deb was a Home Economics Instructor, first at Mandaree Public School and then at Gackle Public School.  Deb has more than 25 years of experience working in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, in various positions ranging from program coordination, staff development, quality assurance to Chief Executive Officer with REM ND, Inc. and Lake Region Corporation in Devils Lake.  Her background also includes retail and long-term care experience.  Prior to joining the NDSU Extension, Deb worked as a Health Facilities Surveyor for the North Dakota Department of Health in Bismarck.  Deb currently serves as the Nutrition Education Assistant for the NDSU Extension Service in Burleigh and Morton Counties for the Expanded Foods and Nutrition Program (EFNEP) and the Family Nutrition Program (FNP).
