Farm Safety Webinar Series

Each and every one of us has been impacted in some way by an accident, injury, or fatality that has occurred on the farm/ranch. These events are devastating to our communities and impact the livelihoods of those we know and love dearly.

In an effort to start the conversation and create a behavior change to keep safety as the number one prerogative on the farm, Emily Krekelberg, Farm Safety & Health Educator with the University of Minnesota Extension, and Angie Johnson, NDSU Extension Farm & Ranch Safety Coordinator, are excited to bring YOU, and YOUR communities, the Farm Safety Webinar Series in 2021.

Starting in January and going through March, we will be featuring five webinars that focus on multiple facets of the Farm safety webinar 2021farm/ranch, including the following topics:

  • Jan. 21- Grain Bin Safety
  • Feb. 2- Tractor & Equipment Safety
  • Feb. 18- Youth Farm Safety
  • Mar. 4- Livestock Safety
  • Mar. 18- QPR – Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Training

Topics will contain LIVE panelists (producers, University Specialists, emergency personal, industry experts – just to name a few!) from North Dakota and Minnesota; addressing the topics of: tough conversations; Stop, Think, Act; how to incorporate safety into your operation; understanding age appropriate tasks on the farm; and becoming prepared to help someone who may be contemplating suicide.

This webinar series is for everyone, including you, your producers, and farm families. We would be so grateful if you could help us share this opportunity with your producers and communities, as their input and participation is the true driving force in creating a behavior change that could be the lifesaving event that allows your producers to get home safely each night.
