Educational Trunks

Burleigh County Extension Office has educational trunks available for check-out by 4-H club leaders and NDSU Extension Staff. A $50.00 (refundable) deposit is required on all trunks checked-out outside of Burleigh County.

Educational Trunk Check Out Policy

  • Educational trunks are intended for 4-H leaders to utilize in teaching lessons during 4-H meetings.
  • Educational trunks may only be checked out by 4-H leaders and NDSU Extension Staff.
  • A $50 deposit (refundable) is required on all trunks checked-out outside of Burleigh County.
  • Trunk reservations need to be made by calling the Extension Office, 221-6865 or by sending an email to , Jeri or Amelia.  Please plan ahead and make reservations accordingly. 
  • Trunks reservations should not exceed 3 weeks. 
  • The club making the reservation is responsible to replace any consumables in the trunk.  For example, if you use a container of plaster of paris, it is your responsibility to replace it before returning the trunk.
  • All trunks that contain electronic or technology components will require a $50 deposit check, payable to the Burleigh County 4-H Council.  This check will be held until the trunk is returned and all contents are inventoried and signed off by Burleigh County Extension staff.
  • During the time you have the trunk, if something is missing from the trunk or if something breaks or isn’t working, please inform the Extension Office. 
  • Any intentional damage will result in the club being charged for the damaged contents. 
  • The Extension Office will complete an inventory of the trunk before check out and again after the trunk is returned to the office.
