4-H and Youth Development

Welcome to Bottineau County 4-H! There are many new and exciting things going on in 4-H.4HClover

Every great organization needs a mission and this is ours: to create supportive learning environments for youth and adults to reach their fullest potential as capable, competent and caring citizens.

So, what is 4-H?

4-H is the largest youth organization in the United States and North Dakota's vision is to become the state's leader in helping youth become positive, productive citizens and catalysts for effective change to meet the need of a diverse and changing society.

The 4-H Motto is: To Make the Best Better.

The 4-H Emblem is the four leaf clover with an "H" on each leaf.

These "H's" stand for Head, Hands, Heart, and Health.

Our goal is to provide opportunities for youth to experience life skills, practice them and use them throughout their lifetime. Through the experiential learning process used in 4-H, youth internalize the knowledge and gain the ability to apply the skills appropriately.
