*Days to mature ratings were taken at R8 reproduction stage when 95% of the pods had reached their mature pod color. Many of the varieties failed to reach this stage prior to the killing frost on September 24. This rating, however, is a rough estimate of maturity and some varieties had no green seed coloring even though they had not yet reached the R8 stage. A few varieties exhibited green seed coloring even though visually they had reached the R8 stage. During the cleaning process each plot was given a visual seed color rating as another indicator of maturity at killing frost. 0-indicates yellow seed, 9-dark green coloring in the sample.

Moisture conditions were very dry at planting which resulted in varying emergence dates. There was approximately 70% emergence prior to rainfall on June 12. Stands on all plots were good after the rainfall. The range in maturity among the soybeans on June 23 was from emergence to 1st trifoliate leaf.
