Reminder: CROP MANAGEMENT FIELD SCHOOL

NDSU Carrington Research and Extension Center, Carrington, North Dakota

The eventís targeted audience is crop advisers. Activities provide hands-on training on crop, pest and soil management using field research and demonstration plots. Field sessions include weed identification; herbicide mode-of-action diagnosis; corn, soybean, and sunflower insect updates; wheat and soybean disease management; corn growth stages and management strategies; and soil properties and management opportunities.

Preregistration form and $50 fee is requested by June 13 ($60 after June 14). A total of 50 participants will be accepted on a first-come basis.

 

NDSU WEED TOUR POSTPONED

The 2003 NDSU Weed Tour has been postponed and will be held Monday, July 14, 2003. The delay in planting and weed emergence from conditions this spring has caused the tour to be postponed from July 1 to July 14. Below is the tentative schedule with locations and times (if it doesnít rain).

***IMPORTANT*** Dr. Alan Dexter will still hold the Sugarbeet Tour north of the airport (County Rd 20) on July 1 at 1:30 pm for those who wish to attend. He will NOT hold the tour again on July 14.
