NDSU WEED TOURS

** Amazingly, no floods have forced us to cancel the 2002 NDSU Weed Tour (knock on wood) - therefore unless something happens before, the weeds tour will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2002. Below is the tentative schedule with locations and times (if it doesn’t rain). I hesitate to indicate a date because my colleagues have made it clear that there is direct correlation between weed tour dates selected and massive rain events.

8:30 - 10:00 - NDSU Experiment Station - Prosper, ND
The Prosper site is 2 miles E of Amenia on County Rd 32.
Turn in at the buildings and travel straight west to the plots.

10:00 - 10:30 - Travel to Casselton, ND

10:30 - 12:00 - NDSU Agronomy Seed Farm, Casselton
Go to the weeds area at the farm and park along the dirt road.

12:00 - Lunch - At the Casselton Seed Farm. Free lunch will be provided by the NDSU Animal Science Carnivor Catering Services which serves their unforgettable, mouth watering, savory, prize winning beef with all the trimmings.

1:30 - NW-22 Research Farm, Fargo, ND
(SW corner of I-29 and County Rd 20)

OR

North of the Airport (County Rd 20) for tour of sugarbeet weed control plots with Dr. Alan Dexter for those interested in sugarbeet weed control research or biennial wormwood tour with Dr. George Kegode for those interested in biennial wormwood research.
