PEST MANAGEMENT FIELD SCHOOL
A Pest Management Field School for crop advisers will be offered by the NDSU Extension Service on Thursday, June 25 at the Carrington Research Extension Center. The program will cover weed identification, crop injury and herbicide mode-of-action diagnosis, insect identification, field corn and sunflower insect management, small grain disease management, precision fungicide application for scab management, and row/alternative crop (dry bean, soybean, sunflower, potato, canola, and lentil) disease management. Area and state NDSU extension specialists will be the instructors.
A completed preregistration form and a $20 payment is required by June 18 to be enrolled in the school. Participation will be limited to the first 50 participants. An application for eight continuing education units in the pest management area of the CCA program has been submitted.
