INTRODUCTION

This is a report of Rotation and Tillage Trials conducted at the Dickinson Experiment Station in 1953.

The Dickinson Experiment Station, a branch of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station, is under the supervision of Mr. Raymond J. Douglas, Superintendent. It is located one and one half mile northwest of the City of Dickinson, Stark County, North Dakota, at the latitude of 46o 53' and longitude of 102o 49'. Elevation of the Dickinson Experiment Station is 2500' above sea level. The total area of the station, including summer grazing land in the Badlands 35 miles southwest of the Station , is approximately 1.700 acres. Major soil types are fine sandy loam and clay loam.
