Ron Haugen is a Farm Management Specialist with a 100% extension appointment, employed from October to April each year. He manages his family farm near Aneta, ND. He has been in the department since 1991. Farm management topics include: crop budgets (conventional, organic and no-till), crop insurance, farm bill, farm management software, land rents, machinery economics, commodity price projections and agricultural income taxes. He computes the North Dakota Land Valuation Model.
