Siew Lim submits grant to USDA/NIDA/AFRI

Dr. Siew Lim

Dr. Siew Lim, Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics, has submitted a grant proposal in the amount of $49,593 to USDA/NIDA/AFRI.

The title of the proposal is: “Understanding the Gap and Linkage between Profit Swings and Productivity Growth in U.S. Agriculture”

The objectives of this proposed research project are to:

1) examine economic sources and other causal factors of volatile farm profit change

2) develop agricultural cost performance, price performance and profit change indicators for U.S. agriculture

3) assess agricultural production and resource use in U.S. agriculture to examine barriers to agricultural productivity and profit growths
