Roberts and Murguia submit grant proposal to Research ND

Roberts, David   Murguia, Juan

Dr. David Roberts, and Dr. Juan Murguia, both  Assistant Professors in Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, have submitted a grant proposal as Co-PI’s with John Nowatzki, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering.  This was submitted to Research ND in the amount of $184,925.

The title is: “UAS Agribusiness Models”.

The research will focus on efficient information processing techniques to provide timely data and efficient processing of UAS imagery to maximize the effectiveness of farming techniques.  This project will incorporate the research findings from the North Dakota State University Research ND-funded “Verify the Effectiveness of UAS-mounted Sensors in Field Crop and Livestock Production Management Issues”  project conducted in 2014 at the NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center.
