ND Department of Agriculture, Specialty Crop Block Grant Program accepted

Congratulations to Dr. Prithviraj Lakkakula, PI, Research Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics, with Dr. David Ripplinger, Assistant Professor and Dr. Frayne Olson, Assistant Professor, Co-PI’s, have been notified the grant in the amount of $76,206 to North Dakota Department of Agriculture, Specialty Crop Block Grant Program has been accepted for funding.

The title of this proposal is: “Pea and Lentil Market Analysis”

The potential impacts of the project are multifold.  First, the new information assists farmers to rely on stable domestic pea and lentil market when making choices regarding growth markets for their commodities.  Also, they will have a better understanding of the supply chain of peas and lentils used as ingredients into making final consumer products.
