Nancy Hodur and Dean Bangsund submit grant proposal to Michigan State University

Dr. Nancy Hodur, Research Assistant Professor and CO-PI Dean Bangsund, Research Scientist, Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, have submitted a grant proposal to Michigan State University in the amount of $14,784.

The title of this proposal is: “Use of Employment, Housing and Population Projections to Develop Community Strategies Associated with Shale Oil Development in the Williston Basin”.

The research team will make recommendations on how communities and other local government units can manage shortcomings associated with current modeling efforts, model assumptions and future uncertainty during the current development period for shale oil production in the Williston Basin.
