Hodur submits grant

Dr. Nancy Hodur, Research Assistant Professor, principal investigator, and Dean Bangsund, Research Scientist, co-principal investigator,  in Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, have submitted a grant proposal in the amount of $7,500 to The Lignite Energy Council.

The title of the proposal is: “Analysis of the Economic Contribution of the Lignite Energy Industry to North Dakota University System”.

The Lignite Energy Council will compile information on expenditures, employment, and enrollments from member organizations for 2012.  These expenditures represent direct impacts and will be used as input to the North Dakota Input/Output Model, to estimate the secondary and total economic contribution resulting from lignite energy industry.
