Hodur and Bangsund submit grant proposal to ND Department of Commerce

Dr. Nancy Hodur ,Research Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, PI and Dean Bangsund, Research Scientist in Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, Co-PI have submitted a grant proposal in the amount of $20,764 to the North Dakota Department of Commerce.

The title of this proposal is: “Estimating the Economics Impact of the North Dakota Centers of Excellence Program”

In 2003 the North Dakota Legislature funded pilot Centers of Excellence Projects.  In 2005, 2007 and 2009 the Legislature has continued and expanded the program which is aimed at facilitating public private partnerships to spur research, development and commercialization of new products and services.  State policy makers are interested in program progress and the economic contribution the program has made to the state’s economy.
