Dr. David Ripplinger submits grant proposal

David Ripplinger

Dr. David Ripplinger, Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics, has submitted a grant proposal as co-PI with Chad Ulven, Cherish Bauer-Reich, Justin Hoey and Abbey Wick in the amount of $399,354.

This grant is submitted to the National Science Foundation and the title is: “Sensing Earth Environment Directly Sensor”.

The sensor will be implanted with a crop and it will read conditions and provide feed back to growers, so they may adjust fertilizer and chemical applications accordingly.
