Dr. David Ripplinger Co-PI on grant proposal

David Ripplinger
Dr. David Ripplinger, Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics, North Dakota State University, is Co-PI on a grant proposal with Dr. Abby Wick, PI, Extension School of Natural Resource Sciences, North Dakota State University, Dr. Frank Casey, Director of the School of Natural Resource Sciences, NDSU, Co-PI, and Dr. Amitava Chatterjee, Co-PI, Assistant Professor of Soil Science, NDSU.

The title is:  “Defining Wheat Response to Salinity for North Dakota (year 2)”. This was submitted to the North Dakota Wheat Commission in the amount of $23, 619.

We plan to locate salt-affected quarters that are being put into wheat production in 2015 (likely in SE ND) to establish a salinity gradient and evaluate the response of wheat yields to that gradient.
