David Ripplinger submits grant to SDSU, USDA
Dr. David Ripplinger, Assistant Professor in Agribusiness and Applied Economics Department, has submitted a grant proposal in
the amount of $902,741. This was submitted to South Dakota State University, USDA, through AFRI Bioenergy program.
The title is: “A Bioenergy Feedstock Supply System for Underutilized Lands in the Northern Great Plains”
The project will investigate feedstock production economics, value chain economics and economic impacts. The teams scope will include camelian germplasm evaluation and enhancement, prairie cordgrass germplasm evaluation and enhancement and agronomy and Ethiopian mustard and camelina agronomy.
