Training

Zoom's website has a large resource library with video tutorials and other information for you to learn more about Zoom. They even have a special page with resources related to working from home because of COVID-19.

Scott Swanson led some Zoom trainings for staff and faculty in June 2020.

Registration

Registration is strongly encouraged with Zoom meetings. This will help us do three things:

  1. Gather information for follow-up emails and opt-in permission to send texts.
  2. Start a database of program participants for a customer relationship management (CRM) program within PEARS.
  3. Reduce the chance of Zoom bombings by taking preregistrations for webinars.

For setting up registration in Zoom with the fields to make creating the CRM database work easier later, watch this video.

NDSU Zoom licenses

  • As of Summer 2020, all NDSU faculty and staff have accounts with the NDSU Zoom enterprise license. You do not have to purchase a Zoom license.
  • At https://ndsu.zoom.us/, sign in with your NDSU central authentication system (CAS) credentials.

If you have special requirements and need to do a Zoom Webinar instead of a Meeting, contact .
