Videoconferencing (IVN)

As a part of the North Dakota University System, NDSU Agriculture has access to videoconferencing services through the North Dakota Interactive Video Network (IVN). IVN connects videoconference rooms on the NDSU campus with videoconference sites across the state and beyond. Additionally, IVN provides the option to connect to conferences through a variety of platforms including desktop video software, web browser and audio/telephone systems.

Scheduling a Videoconference Event

Determine Type of Connection
Determine the needs of your participants and how they will join the conference. Options include:

  • IVN videoconference sites
  • Individual desktop/laptop (web browser or RealPresense software)
  • Audio only (dial in from telephone)
  • Any combination of the above

Confirm Site Availability

If you are using IVN sites, please contact all site coordinators to reserve the rooms. See the Ag Consortium site list for contact information of site coordinators.

Request the Conference

After you have confirmed availability of all sites, contact to request your conference connection. Please provide the following information:

  • Title of the event
  • Date and start/end times
  • Participating sites
  • Number of desktop connections
  • Number of audio connections

To simplify the request, you may complete the IVN Scheduling Form and email it as an attachment. If you are connecting to IVN sites not listed on the form, please provide the city, county/campus and room name or number. An IP address is helpful to confirm the location.

Confirm Reservation

When the conference is scheduled, Elizabeth will send you a copy of the schedule as confirmation. Review the details to ensure everything is accurate. Share the web browser link or dial-in information with participants connecting remotely.

Reply to Elizabeth with any changes.

During the Conference

If you experience any technical problems during the videoconference, contact the North Dakota ITD Help Desk at 701-328-4470 or 877-328-4470.
