Updating Your Info in the NDSU Extension “People” Database

Have you updated your information and photo in the NDSU Extension People database?

There’s an online database in the Ag Info Center that has been prepopulated with basic contact information for all NDSU Extension faculty and staff, including county-paid support staff. To make the database a useful tool within the organization, please take a minute to add information about yourself to your record.

Why?

So you can seek out colleagues with specific areas of interest and technical skills; look up information about a coworker who you need to introduce at a meeting; and see the photo of an employee who you want to make a point of greeting at an upcoming conference. And vice versa.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Ag Info Center (our Intranet).
  2. Enter your Ag Info Center username and password. This is the username and password you use to submit Quarterly or Annual Program Reports, calendar items and FeedList entries. Contact the NDSU ITS Help Desk at 231-8685 if you've forgotten your ID.
  3. Click the "People" tab at the top of the page, and you'll see your name and some of your information. Click on the "Edit" link at the right side to add more information about yourself, including your photo.
  4. Your last name, department, title, address, phone, fax and email feed into the public Extension directory and are managed by the directory administrator. Of the fields you can change, only your first name, Web address and photo will display in the public directory. All the other info is available only to logged-in NDSU Extension faculty and staff.
  5. When finished, click on the "Save Entry" button at the bottom of the form. If you do not want to save the changes you've made, click on the close button (blue box with a white X) in the upper right corner of the form.

Tips

  • Photos must be in JPG or PNG format. Please consider a professional photo.
  • The "Web" field is intended as a link to a professional page with more information about you, NOT to your department or county website. Please enter the full URL of the site you want to link to.
  • Write in complete sentences.
  • Review and update your information at least once a year.
