AES PowerPoint Templates

If you use a dark background with white or light text in PPT slides, output to a B&W printer may not be clear.

To avoid text fading out or both the background and text being dark, go to Print and Settings. Select how you want them printed (Color, Grayscale or Pure Black and White). For best results when printing slides with white or light text on a dark background, select Color, even if you’re printing to a black and white printer.

To get clean black text on a white background, download and run the Microsoft Support fix. Restart PowerPoint, open your presentation and go to Print. This time, select Pure Black and White. Now the dark background should drop out and your light-colored text should convert to black. However, if you have logos or other graphics that are light-colored, they still will print as a light color. For instance, a white NDSU logo will print white and not be visible in the printout.
