University System Transitioning to Outlook for Consistent E-mail and Calendar

N.D. University System schools are moving to consistently use Outlook for e-mail and calendaring. For Agriculture and University Extension, this means more efficient support and much easier scheduling among colleagues. Agriculture and University Extension faculty and staff probably will transition in mid-October. The first step for many is to start using Outlook instead of another e-mail client (Pegasus, Thunderbird, etc.). Training with recorded step-by-step screen captures and live Wimba sessions soon will be offered to help with this step. Additional recorded and live training will be offered on how to export current Outlook files and import them into the Outlook version on the new exchange server. Everyone should start deleting unnecessary e-mail files now to make the transition easier. Even those who now use Outlook will have to export and import files. More information is at, and details will be shared soon on how Agriculture and University Extension faculty and staff will make the transition. Becky Koch, (701) 231-7875,
