IT Updates

On Dec. 1, all NDSU-paid employees received an e-mail asking them to “claim their NDUS identifier.” It’s important that you do this now because effective with the Jan. 14, 2011, payday, all NDSU-paid employees will need to use the self-service system to view or print their own pay stubs. The identifier also will be required for other NDUS systems. Go to http://www.ndsu.edu/its/claim/ and click on "Claim your NDUS identifier." If you have problems or questions, call the ITS help desk at 231-8685 #1 or e-mail NDSU.HelpDesk@ndsu.edu.

The last groups soon will be transitioned to NDSU Outlook for e-mail and calendar service. If you experience any problems at all, even if you're able to fix them yourself, please let the ITS help desk know so they can remedy errors that might occur for others.

In addition to their on-campus sessions, Lorna Olsen and Cj Johnson have offered NDSU Outlook training for off-campus staff via Wimba, and they will a couple more times. In addition, check out the ITS Outlook Resources page and Microsoft's Outlook Help and How-to page.

To protect security, NDSU Outlook passwords automatically will expire every 90 days.  For information on how to change your NDSU Outlook password, go to www.ndsu.edu/its/help_desk/account_hub and choose “Change Your NDSU Outlook Password.”
Note that you will only receive notification of your password’s expiration if you use the Microsoft Online Services Sign-In program to access Outlook or if you log in to Outlook Web Access using the Online Portal Web page. If you have questions, again contact the help desk.
