Conquer Finals WeekFinals week is right around the corner. Are you prepared? Do you feel like you are knee-deep in projects, presentations and studying? It’s not too late to make a plan and rock the last week of the semester

- When are your finals scheduled? Check the syllabus for dates and times and write them on the calendar.

- Prioritize your finals. Which class do you find to be the hardest? Which final has the biggest effect on your grade or the program you want to get into? Make a plan so that you can adequately study for all of them.

- What's your style? Do you learn by repetition? Memorization? Does reading your notes out loud help you to remember them better? Whether you like flashcards, rewriting your notes or reading your textbook, figure out what works for you and do it.

- Attend the review session. Is your professor planning on doing a review session? Don't skip out. The review session can provide you valuable insight into what will be on the test.

- Get a study buddy (maybe). A study buddy can be great however if the person ends up being more of a distraction then that is not helpful. Consider creating a study group from class. They’ll have the same goal as you; ace the test.

- Make studying a priority. Going to a movie or the big game may need to be put on the back burner so you can focus on your most important task; studying.

- Reward yourself. Did you complete a section of notes? Give yourself a reward. Maybe it's a sweet treat or quick walk outside, reward yourself for working hard but then get back to it.

- Get enough sleep. Your brain needs sufficient zzzz's to function properly. Aim for 8 hours of sleep each night.

- Be confident in your abilities. Be confident in what you know. You've attended class (we hope), completed projects and likely spent tons of time studying the material throughout the semester. You've been preparing all along, now put that preparation to good use.

Good luck and Rock Your Finals!
