Why did you choose NDSU? When I reflect back to the time that I chose NDSU, I remember it being one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. I transferred in my sophomore year and instantly, NDSU’s staff made such an easy transition for me. The opportunities to make my future career successful was endless and I could see so much potential.

Why did you select the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources? Agriculture has always had a place in my heart. When it came time to decide what I wanted to do with my future, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I would do anything other than that. NDSU has always been known for their College of AFSNR. Through this, I knew that I could further my knowledge and provide a brighter future for myself and my future students.

Clubs/Organizations you’re involved in and why involvement in activities is beneficial? I am currently the Vice President of Collegiate Cattlewomen, an executive chair for Saddle and Sirloin, and a member of the Ag Ambassadors. These clubs/organizations have been extremely beneficial for me because they have led me to amazing people. I have been able to meet some of my best friends, engage in important events, and also network with our community.

List any internships and a brief description of what you did: As an Agricultural Education major, we don’t have “internships” instead we do job shadowing in surrounding area high schools. So far, I have been able to spend time in Wyndmere High School and Kindred High School. I love being able to get into schools and learn various teaching skills. It is also nice seeing all of the different topics that are used from school to school.

What is your greatest memory at NDSU? My greatest memory at NDSU has been going to all the bison games, tailgating, and meeting my best friends. I have had various opportunities and couldn’t fulfil my wishes at any other college.

What are your future plans? After I graduate, I hope to be in a rural high school teaching the topic I love the most, agriculture!
