Wimba Live Classroom
Participant - Getting started quick reference
What you need...
- Better than dial-up internet connection
- At least speakers, but we highly recommend a headset with microphone.
- Webcam (optional)
How to Enter the Wimba room...
- Disable popup blockers. video
- Go to www.ndivnlc.horizonwimba.com
- If this is your first time - Run the Setup Wizard. video
- Click on the participant tab
- In the participant Login window type the Room ID given to you. (note: the login is case- sensitive)
- Type in your name and town. (Example: Jim Brown_Towner)
- Click on Enter (This brings you to the lobby)
- Find and click on the appropriate room
- You are now in the room and you should hear a series of clicks and a tone to let you know your speakers are working.
Once you are in the room...
- You should be able to hear the presenter speak.
- You may be asked to press the "check mark" as a yes, or the X as a no. These buttons are located at the bottom middle of the window underneath the list of participant names.
- If you are using a microphone, you will need to click and hold down the "talk" button to be heard.
