Participant - Getting started quick reference

What you need...

1. Better than dial-up internet connection
2. At least speakers, but we highly recommend a headset with microphone.
3. Webcam (optional)

How to Enter the Wimba room...

1. Disable popup blockers. video
2. Go to www.ndivnlc.horizonwimba.com
3. If this is your first time - Run the Setup Wizard. video
4. Click on the participant tab
5. In the participant Login window type the Room ID given to you. (note: the login is case- sensitive)
6. Type in your name and town. (Example: Jim Brown_Towner)
7. Click on Enter (This brings you to the lobby)
8. Find and click on the appropriate room
9. You are now in the room and you should hear a series of clicks and a tone to let you know your speakers are working.

Once you are in the room...

1. You should be able to hear the presenter speak.
2. You may be asked to press the "check mark" as a yes, or the X as a no. These buttons are located at the bottom middle of the window underneath the list of participant names.
3. If you are using a microphone, you will need to click and hold down the "talk" button to be heard.
