This annual conference held just outside of Washington, D.C in nearby Alexandria, Virginia focuses on current national public issues, provides an opportunity to understand NIFA (National Institute of Food and Agriculture) at the federal level, and spend time on Capitol Hill visiting with the North Dakota Congressional delegation representing the NDSU Extension Service.
Participants are selected from nominations submitted by the following: ND Association of County Agricultural Agents (Ron Wiederholt, President), ND Association of Extension 4-H Agents (Donna Anderson, President or Sue Isbell, President-elect) and ND Extension Association of Family and Consumer Science (Lori Scharmer, President) and Extension Leadership Team (ELT).
Selection of the participants by ELT occurs in March.
