4-H Aerospace Event

The ND 4-H Foundation and UND Department of Aerospace Science along with NDSU Extension will once again be sponsoring the 4-H Aerospace Event on April 26-27, 2009 at UND School of Aerospace in Grand Forks.

This program is open to youth ages 12-15 (they don’t have to be 4-H members) who are interested in learning more about the field of aerospace sciences. Youth must be accompanied by a chaperone. The registration fee for both youth and adults is $30.

Registration deadline is April 1, 2009 and is limited to 75 youth. Visit http://www.ext.nodak.edu/4h/programs/aerospaceevent/aerospace_event.htm for more information or call the Extension office.

Speech and Demonstration Event

Grand Forks County's Speech and Demonstraiton event will be held at Thompson Public School on Saturday, March 29.  Registration will start at 9:00 a.m. and judging at 9:30 a.m.

4-H Snow Day on Sunday, January 20, 2008 has been postponed due the cold weather.

4-H Snow Day

The YLT 4-H club will be hosting the annual 4-H Snow Day on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Park. We will be using the sledding hill and skating rink closest to the warming house. Put on your winter gear and join us for some fun.

Optimist International Essay Contest

The Grand Forks Optimist Club and the East Grand Forks Campbell Library are accepting entries for the 2007-2008 Essay Contest. Contestants must be between the ages of 10-18 as of December 31, 2007. The essay topic is "Today's Choices Shape My Future". Essay submision deadline is Wednesday, February 13, 2008 by 5:00 p.m. Please contact Carrie or Carole at the Extension Office for more information.

Project Expo

Grand Forks County's Project Expo event will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Emerado School. Registrations are due in the office on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
