About Colleen
Colleen started with Richland County Extension September 2001. She is the Nutrition, Food Safety, & Health agent, as well as the 4-H agent. She is a NDSU graduate with degrees in Family Consumer Science Education and Clothing & Textiles. Colleen grew up on a grain farm in north-central North Dakota. After getting her degrees, Colleen enjoyed teaching Family Consumer Sciences and being the school librarian for many years in northwest ND. She left the formal classroom to become a community health educator and an Extension educator in southwest ND, prior to joining the Richland County Extension Service.
Colleen has been afforded many post-graduate trainings and travel experiences during her tenure with NDSU Extension. These experiences have focused on leadership, youth, and nutrition. Colleen appreciates the occasions to receive the greatest and latest research from the university and as an educator to share the information with her county clients.
Colleen has numerous hobbies but especially enjoys unwinding with her horses.
