This required building an additional greenhouse facility that will take agriculture confidently in this new millennium.

The new building will provide facilities for enhanced education and advanced research in plant breeding genetics, horticulture, entomology, plant pathology, plant nutrition and associated disciplines.

Based on the core values of North Dakota State University, the successful conclusion of this campaign will have an immediate impact on the whole of the state and surrounding states by:

• Enhancing student learning by enabling them to experience state-of-the-art technology and conditions
• Creating highly-skilled professionals for the workforce
• Attracting and retaining top-ranked scientists and educators involved in cutting-edge research
and teaching.
• Expanding research capabilities to benefit producers and businesses through increased productivity
and sales.

The education and research carried out in this new complex will benefit producers and communities in the the region by boosting production, increasing business activity, energizing communities and enhancing the global environment.

An investment in this greenhouse and containment facility will allow continued integrated, collaborative research with state-of-the-art technology. This is critical to allow our producers and ranchers to remain competitive in a global economy.

I urge you to read this document and understand how your investment in this project will have a positive impact on rural America, at communty, regional, national and international levels.
