1999 Retirees Service Award

Banks and Evelyn Sieber

County Extension Agent, Retired
NDSU Extension Service

During his Extension Service career, Banks was the very definition of a county agent. He served as agent in Bottineau County from 1957 to 1981, after having worked in Sheridan and Oliver counties. Banks and Evelyn always received high respect from co-workers, community leaders, organizations, clientele and others that were a part of extension and community efforts. Banks was especially noted as an excellent communicator for his weekly newspaper column and other media work. He is widely recognized within the National Association of County Agricultural Agents and is very active in the communication and life member committees. His attendance at 35 NACAA annual meetings has made him perhaps the best-known member from North Dakota. Banks and Evelyn have continued to be active supporters of extension work at local and state levels.
