4. Career (list, in order, employers, titles and dates): Pembina and Cavalier County Extension Service - Extension Agent (8/24/87) Walsh County Extension Service - Extension Agent (5/1/92) Cass County Extension Service - Extension Agent (8/1/00 to present)

5. Organizations and Community Service: Immediate Past President of the NDEAFCS Association, past president of NDAE4HYW, member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo.

6. Accomplishments and Contributions: (Describe the candidate's significant accomplishments as an Extension worker or contributions as a Friend of Extension.) Rita has had various roles within her 17 years with the NDSU Extension Service. Her first years in Extension were focused in the 4-H Youth area. With the move to Cass County she has focused on the nutrition, health and food safety emphasis area, encompassing both youth and adult audiences. She recently was the key in developing and implementing a countywide nutrition education curriculum for 5th graders, entitled On The Move. That program is being used statewide this year. She was also a partner in the development of the Are You Ready? Family Disaster Supply Kit program and display being used throughout the state. Rita has served on many committees and taskforces for Extension. She is currently a member of the North Dakota's Change Agent States for Diversity and of the NDSU Diversity Council. She has been involved with the State Disaster Team and was instrumental in the development of a Mold in Your Home display and resources.
