Organizations and Community Service: North Dakota Association of Extension Agents Upsilon Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association 6. Accomplishments and Contributions: Throughout his career with the NDSU Extension Service, ElRoy has met client needs by developing and carrying out a variety of educational programs. In Agriculture and Natural Resources programming, he initiated Central Dakota Bull Day, which continues to be an annual event. He works closely with the Missouri Slope Wool Pool and Burleigh County Ag Improvement Association. ElRoy leads an active Master Gardener group and provides pesticide training to neighboring counties in addition to the other agricultural topics he teaches. Since the beginning of his career, he has provided leadership to ag and horticultural 4-H youth development programs, including coaching livestock judging teams. ElRoy is innovative and progressive in his programming efforts. Collaborative work is a priority, and one example is ElRoy's partnering with county emergency management on planning and training related to agricultural bioterrorism issues. He also cooperates with tourism and economic development officials on programming and farm tours. ElRoy has taken the lead in technology development in Burleigh County by offering senior computer workshops and by implementing office design and development of the county Web site. He has taken the lead with his hands-on approach to informing county and state officials on Extension program efforts. The media regularly come to ElRoy for questions on a variety of topics.
