            National Association of County Extension Agents Achievement Award, 1998

 

            Accomplishments

            George is active in helping county agents, farm management instructors and farmers start new marketing clubs and today, there are approximately 53 clubs with more starting. George reaches more audiences than ever by utilizing the interactive video network to give crop outlook, marketing, and risk management presentations. Over the years George has written over 500 Market Advisors, written and updated over 79 Extension publications, 15 journal articles, and two book chapters. He also coordinates several popular workshops including the annual Crop Insurance Conference, Outlook Conference for Ag Lenders, and Elevator Managers Workshops.
