North Dakota chapter of American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers � member and past President
MPU Extension Advisory Council
NDSU President�s Ag Club (including past President)
ND State Board of Ag Research and Education (5 year member and past chair)

6. Accomplishments and Contributions:

Tom has long been a supporter of the North Dakota State University, the ND Ag Experiment Station and the NDSU Extension Service and its work. Most importantly, Tom recently complete a 5 year term, including role as past chair, of the State Board for Ag Research and Education. During this time period, especially during his tenure as Chair, Tom work diligently to support and advocate the importance of ND Ag Research and Extension to political leaders here in our state. He did this through significant interaction with political leaders during his tenure on the board but especially during the last ND Legislative session. Tom was able to do this, not only because of his commitment to the State Board for Ag Research and Education, because of his knowing first hand the value that Ag Research and Extension plays in having a strong agriculture.
