Scott Stofferahn

North Dakota Farm Service Agency

Scott is executive director of the North Dakota Farm Service Agency, appointed to that position by President Clinton in 1993. During his time as state director, Scott and his staff have worked with the Extension Service on many programs, providing information to help extension specialists and agents do a better job of providing decision_making educational programs for producers. In turn, extension staff have provided FSA with information of agricultural trends, financial analysis and production nformation. Since being named state director, Scott has served on the 1996 Farm Bill Implementation Task Force, the FSA State Directors* Leadership Council and the Legislative Committee. He has been the state directors* liaison to the FSA Wheat, Feed Grains and Oilseeds Committee and in 1997 was selected to serve on Secretary of Agriculture Glickman*s Policy Advance Committee.
